ASKA Gets a New Update Just in Time for Steam Medieval Fest

Hearth & Honey Update Is Now Live in ASKA

Sand Sailor Studio and Thunderful have rolled out a fresh update for ASKA, bringing a lively new twist to the Viking survival experience just in time for Steam’s Medieval Fest. The game, which has already attracted more than 600,000 players during its Early Access run, continues to build momentum with this latest content drop.

Alongside the update, the game is also available at a 20% discount throughout the festival, giving new players a timely opportunity to jump in as the tone shifts from relentless raiding to a more festive, community-driven atmosphere.

Titled the Hearth & Honey update, the new content introduces an entirely new production chain focused on beekeeping and mead brewing. Players can now venture out to marsh islands in search of wild beehives, marking the beginning of a process that ends with villagers enjoying freshly brewed mead in upgraded taverns. Taverns themselves can now be enhanced to tier 3, offering more depth to settlement management while creating a central hub for celebration and relaxation.

The addition of mead as a resource also opens up new ways to manage villagers’ morale and needs, reinforcing the game’s focus on survival through community building. This update follows a steady stream of post-launch support, including eight major updates and multiple patches. Among them was the notable Seaborne Raiders expansion, which introduced longships and expanded naval exploration.

With consistent updates and a growing player base, ASKA continues to evolve into a richer Viking sandbox experience.
