Meet the Cuddly Creatures in Aniimo
Pawprint Studio has officially expanded the platform lineup for its upcoming creature-catching RPG Aniimo, confirming that the game will also launch on PlayStation 5 and Epic Games Store. These join the previously announced platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Xbox PC, and mobile devices. The free-to-play title will release in 2026, with wishlisting now live across console and PC platforms.

The announcement follows the conclusion of Aniimo’s largest beta test so far. This phase introduced a broader group of players to the colorful world of Idyll and its diverse creatures, while also allowing the developers to gather valuable feedback. Pawprint Studio is expected to use these insights to refine the experience ahead of launch. Players who missed the second closed beta will still have more chances to try the game, with additional testing opportunities planned in the future.
For those eager to jump in sooner, Aniimo will be taking part in PAX East later this week in Boston. Attendees can visit the game’s booth to try out the latest demo build. This version introduces Hoptail, a lively new Aniimo capable of storing electrical energy in its tail and unleashing it through powerful, explosive jumps.
The demo also offers a closer look at the game’s open-world exploration, including the ability to “twine” with Aniimo to access their unique abilities, along with features like the RV and Homeland systems.
