Roadside Research is a 1–4 player co-op simulation game where you and your friends run a gas station while secretly posing as aliens in disguise. Your goal is simple in theory: act human, keep the station running smoothly, and gather intelligence for an impending invasion. In practice, things get messy fast. Players must refuel vehicles, restock shelves, and satisfy customers, all while avoiding suspicion and keeping their true identities hidden.
Progression unfolds across two interconnected spaces. Above ground, you’ll upgrade and expand the gas station to improve efficiency and profits. Below ground, a concealed alien research facility allows you to invest in advanced extraterrestrial technology, preparing for humanity’s eventual downfall. Choosing how to balance these upgrades is key to survival.
