Join the Fight in THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK
Netmarble has rolled out a new content update for THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, bringing a powerful new fighter, fresh events, and a wave of rewards for players to dive into. Available now, the update expands the AFK RPG’s roster and activities while continuing to celebrate SNK’s iconic fighting franchise.
Headlining the update is Krohmen, a new Legendary fighter with Rush synergy. He is a mysterious young man known for teaming up with Ángel in the KOF universe. Krohnen also stands out with his signature goggles and cloak, along with an aggressive combat style that complements fast-paced team compositions. Players looking to add him to their lineup can take part in the Krohmen Pick-Up Event, which runs until February 4 and offers increased recruitment rates. Alongside it, the [Rush] Synergy Fighter Summon Event makes it easier to obtain fighters that share the Rush synergy, allowing players to strengthen specialized builds.
The update also introduces several limited-time events packed with rewards. The Lucky Elpy Event, running from January 26 to January 30, gives players a chance to encounter Alice Chrysler, a new Legendary supporter. Meanwhile, the Glitch Arcade event opens from January 29 to February 11, offering opportunities to earn new Legendary pets, Krohme and Joy. Krohme, a goggle-wearing, cloak-clad mole, draws direct inspiration from Krohnen himself.
Based on SNK’s THE KING OF FIGHTERS IP, THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK reimagines classic fighters in nostalgic pixel art inspired by KOF R-2 on the Neo Geo Pocket Color. With strategic 5v5 battles and the ability to build decks using up to 15 fighters and multiple formations, the game blends familiar characters with accessible, team-focused combat.
