Start Your Journey in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
Netmarble has officially announced the launch of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, a new action-adventure RPG licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of HBO. The game is now available on mobile platforms and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Windows Launcher in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East, with a release in Asia planned for later this year.
Set in the world of Westeros, Kingsroad introduces a new character who unexpectedly inherits House Tyre, a lesser-known Northern house. Players can choose from three distinct classes: Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin, each offering unique combat styles and abilities inspired by the original series.
The game draws heavily from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels, with mythical beasts like Drogon appearing as Field Bosses, alongside original creations such as Ice Spiders, Stormhorn Unicorns, Ironbeak Griffins, and Red Cockatrice. With detailed world-building, players can explore a vast open world that includes both iconic locations and unexplored territories.
Familiar landmarks such as King’s Landing, Castle Black, Highgarden, and the Wall are all rendered with high fidelity. Along the journey, players will encounter well-known characters including Jaime Lannister, Varys, Cersei, Stannis Baratheon, and Olenna Tyrell.
Following a successful Early Access release on Steam in March, the game now expands beyond the first two chapters. Chapter 3 launches today, bringing new areas like Storm’s End and Felwood, along with new characters, battles, and a boss encounter featuring a Unicorn in the Altar of Memories update.
