SHIKA-Q Has Opened a Global Public Playtest on Steam

Join the Battles in Shika-Q

Agni Flare Inc. has launched a global public Steam Playtest for SHIKA-Q, an ultra-competitive puzzle game created by a small independent team. The playtest will run worldwide from Sunday, December 28, 2025, to Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

This version serves as a pre-test build that introduces the core experience of SHIKA-Q. The full game is currently planned for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Agni Flare has not yet confirmed a release date for the Steam version.

SHIKA-Q is a fast-paced, head-to-head puzzle game that takes place on a 10×10 board. Players connect links while launching quick attacks and defending against opponents in real time. The game focuses on speed, strategy, and precision, creating short yet intense matches that reward sharp reflexes and astute decision-making.

A defining feature of SHIKA-Q is its use of vocal singing as a core gameplay element. Music tightly integrates into each match, with vocals symbolizing the flow of the game and strengthening immersion through a clear connection between sound and mechanics.

The Steam Playtest allows players to experience the core systems of SHIKA-Q through two main modes. Offline Versus Mode supports matches against CPU opponents as well as local two-player battles on a single device, offering a clear sense of the game’s speed and intensity. Challenge Mode is a single-player high score experience featuring levels from 1 to 99, with the playtest allowing progression up to level 20. Difficulty and pacing evolve dynamically alongside the music.

Online features such as matchmaking, leaderboards, and battle passes are not included in the playtest. The trial features four playable characters and five music tracks. At launch, the full game will include ten free characters, with additional characters and vocal tracks planned through future battle pass content.
