YUME ROOF Demo Has Arrived on Steam Today

Enjoy a Slow Life in YUME ROOF

Solo indie developer Rivi has announced that the Steam Store page for YUME ROOF is now live, alongside a free demo that invites players to step into its calm and creative rooftop world. The demo gives everyone a chance to experience this cozy sandbox game ahead of the full release, which is currently planned for February 2026.

The YUME ROOF Demo introduces players to the game’s open-ended creative flow through a dedicated Creative Mode. This mode places the focus entirely on designing and shaping a Japanese apartment rooftop. The demo removes restrictions and lets players experiment freely, unwind, and capture serene screenshots at their own pace. All items unlock from the start, and players can place items without limits. They can also adjust the time of day to explore different lighting moods and atmospheres. This freedom gives the demo a relaxing and expressive feel while encouraging creativity without pressure.

Content included in the demo highlights the game’s flexibility and visual charm. Players gain access to 60 unique placeable items, a global color palette that can dramatically change the look of the entire environment. As well as character customization options, such as outfits. Together, these tools showcase the soothing rhythm and visual warmth that define YUME ROOF.

YUME ROOF itself is a relaxing sandbox experience centered on customizing the rooftop of a Japanese multi-tenant building, presented in soft and atmospheric voxel art. In the full game, players will decorate their rooftop with furniture, plants, and everyday objects, unlock new items through progression systems, and use advanced camera tools to capture cozy moments. Character customization, expressive poses, and a tranquil world bring everything together into a peaceful, creative escape. Altogether, the game promises to offer a calm space where creativity unfolds at a gentle, unhurried pace.
