Project Freefall Will Land on PC and Meta Quest Devices This October

Get Ready to Dive in Project Freefall

Schell Games has revealed Project Freefall, a new early access multiplayer skydiving tag game set to launch on October 13. The title will be available on the Meta Horizon Store for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3/3s, and Meta Quest Pro, as well as on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game is free to play across all platforms, with optional in-app purchases coming soon. PC players will also have the chance to try it early during Steam Next Fest, running from October 13 to 20.

In Project Freefall, matches pit four to eight players against each other in a high-altitude scramble for the only parachute available. Competitors must outmaneuver opponents and deploy clever tactics while hurtling through the sky, all before making impact with the ground. The aerial chaos is heightened by interactive debris scattered throughout the descent, including giant sharks and even a pirate ship. Every round becomes a frantic mix of skill, timing, and luck to see who secures the parachute and survives.

“Project Freefall is the kind of chaotic fun we love to create at Schell Games,” said Adam Whalen, Project Director of Project Freefall. “We designed it to be a high-stakes, easy-to-learn game where mastering aerial maneuvers and underhanded tactics makes all the difference. We can’t wait for players to experience the fast-paced, competitive mayhem when they jump in for the first time.”

The game also supports cross-platform play, bringing PC and VR players into the same sky. Built-in voice chat encourages communication or misdirection mid descent, while a range of customizable Diver styles lets players show off their flair. Schell Games invites everyone to join online matches from October 13 to 20 at 3 pm ET and 9 pm ET to experience the multiplayer action together.
