Ninja Arts Awaits in SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance
SEGA of America has unveiled the launch trailer for SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, setting the stage for its global release on August 29, 2025. Developed in partnership with Lizardcube, the studio known for Streets of Rage 4, the upcoming title brings the legendary ninja franchise back in a hand-drawn 2D world filled with fast-paced combat and striking visuals. Players can look forward to experiencing the series’ signature blend of stealth, swordplay, and action when it launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Fans eager to step into battle early can do so with the Digital Deluxe Edition, which grants access to the full game three days before release. This edition also includes bonus content and, along with the Collector’s Edition from Limited Run Games, will provide players with the upcoming SEGA Villains Stage DLC, scheduled for early 2026. The DLC introduces a new challenge featuring classic SEGA antagonists, including Dr. Eggman from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Additional enemies will be coming out as well.
For those who want to test their skills ahead of time, a free demo is available now across all major platforms. This trial lets players explore an enhanced version of the game’s opening stage, offering a preview of the tight controls and handcrafted art style that define the full release.
