Formula Legends Is Racing Towards Its Release This September

Embrace the Speed in Formula Legends

Arcade racing fans have more to look forward to next month. The independent developer 3DCloud has announced Formula Legends, a new racing title arriving on PC and consoles on 18 September. This racing game blends arcade action with simulation-style mechanics, aiming to capture the essence of motorsport over the past seventy years.

Formula Legends takes inspiration from real-world racing history, featuring tracks, teams, cars, and drivers modeled after iconic eras in the sport. Rather than using official licenses, the game offers a playful reinterpretation of motorsport’s rich legacy. It promises to deliver a nostalgic yet fresh racing experience.

A playable demo is already out on PC, and it will be available on PS4 and PS5 starting today. The Switch eShop demo will arrive later this month on August 14. This early look includes two modes: Custom and Time Attack, set across two classic circuits based on Belgium and Hungary. Players will get to try out three distinct racing eras, face new extreme weather conditions, explore new camera angles, and tweak gameplay options through full customisation.

Formula Legends will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC via GOG, the Epic Games Store, and Steam. While there is no confirmation yet of a release for the Switch 2, updates may follow in the future.

With its blend of retro flair and modern racing features, the game will be a standout addition to this year’s racing game lineup.
