A Wholesome Experience Awaits In Slime Rancher 2
Monomi Park has officially announced that Slime Rancher 2 will leave early access and launch its full version on September 23, 2025. It will be available digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The version 1.0 release will bring a host of new features and gameplay enhancements.
Among the additions are Quantum Drones, an upgraded, roaming version of a fan-favorite tool that automates ranch work while gathering resources across Rainbow Island. Players can also expect new blueprints for decor, gadgets, and upgrades. As well as fresh areas of the Grey Labyrinth to explore. These additions will build toward the climactic finale of Beatrix LeBeau’s adventure as she uncovers the secrets of Rainbow Island and races to save the Far, Far Range.
To celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary, Monomi Park has partnered with iam8bit to release physical editions of Slime Rancher 2 on January 14, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. These editions will feature exclusive cover art by Final Fantasy illustrator Yusuke Naora, a fold-out poster, and a digital soundtrack download for early preorders. The iam8bit Exclusive Edition also includes a special illustrated sleeve, slime sticker sheet, and O-sleeve art featuring Beatrix and other beloved characters.
Both versions are priced at $34.99 and can be preordered now, with the Exclusive Edition available only until August 26 through iam8bit.
