Don’t Miss These Weapons in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has landed. Described as being “Chinese Sekiro,” it demands skill, precision, and a deep understanding of its wealth of mechanics. Even for veterans of the Soulslike genre, Wuchang has proven to be an arduous journey, showing no mercy and leaving no prisoners. Though naturally, COGconnected has you covered. Come along with us as we dissect a handful of weapons that will help make your trek through the war-torn lands of Shu a bit more manageable.

Empyrean Greataxe
Sometimes, slow and steady wins the race. The Empyrean Greataxe is one of the best weapons you can find early on in Wuchang. It provides devastating AOE capabilities along with high obliterative damage. It also allows our hero, Bai Wuchang, to take to the skies before crashing down to earth and annihilating everything in her way. The Empyrean Greataxe is a phenomenal weapon for creating space and allowing follow-up attacks. Just be sure to take its slow swing speed into account. It’s found in the Shu Sanctum near the challenging boss fight with Lu Hongliu, so don’t miss it upon your arrival.

Twin Bandits
If you’ve been looking to make your Wuchang experience feel a little more like Sekiro, the Twin Bandits are for you. Not only do they provide blazing fast attack speed, but they’re also capable of deflecting incoming attacks. Successful parries save you from damage, but the kicker is that subsequent attacks launch at a faster rate. The Twin Bandits are also an excellent choice due to their ability to help Bai recover health. A phenomenal selection for any player, the Twin Bandits are found in a chest behind an axe-wielding Ming guard. Get them as soon as possible.

Lashing Whip
If a longsword is more your thing, look no further than the Lashing Whip. It offers a lethal charge attack that provides tremendous AOE damage. Plus, when combined with Skyborn Might, the Lashing Whip transforms into a steel whip that’s as eye-catching as it is lethal. It’s also more effective at long range than most other weapons, making it a solid choice for when you don’t want to get nose to nose with an enemy. The Lashing Whip scales with strength and agility, so it’s recommended to cater your stats less towards magic if you plan on using it. To get your hands on the Lashing Whip, head to the middle of the Mercury Workshop in Worship’s Rise.

Gunpowder Spear
The Gunpowder Spear is as versatile a weapon as one can get in Wuchang. This bad boy offers excellent range capabilities while being quick on the draw. Plus, it comes equipped with plenty of leeway in terms of combos, providing players with a myriad of techniques to incapacitate foes. Best of all, it features the potent Flame Strike attack, which delivers a flurry of damage in quick succession, preventing enemies from being able to respond with a counter. Spears in Wuchang are often awe-inspiring, and the Gunpowder Spear is one of the very best examples of this.
Once you’ve reached the Cloudspire Outskirts, head to the top of the first tower you come across. The Gunpowder Spear is located in a small chest here.

Darkfrost Edge
Unlike Sekiro, Wuchang isn’t shy about giving players options to assault their enemies with magic. Bai will come across a plethora of functional magical abilities during her journey, and that’s where one-handed weapons become useful. If you tend to enjoy striking from both short and long distances, the Darkfrost Edge lends itself to magic builds, not only providing buffs to a whole host of spells, but also benefiting from time spent scaling your magic skill.
The Darkfrost Edge will allow you to weave in and out of enemy attack patterns, casting magic along the way to ensure you remain unscathed. What it lacks in damage is made up for in attack speed, and it is better suited to players who aren’t confident in their ability to avoid incoming blows. You’ll find the Darkfrost Edge on a table inside the Lightzen Temple.

Thank you for keeping it locked on COGconnected.
