Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days Has Received A Major Update

Step Inside The World Of Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days

PikPok has released the second major Early Access update for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, the shelter survival game set in a zombie-ravaged Texas. Available now on Steam, this update brings new dangers, deeper systems, and expanded customization to the streets of Walton.

The biggest addition is the Survivor Infection System, which makes every encounter with the undead far riskier. Survivors now face the threat of infection, forcing players to manage health more carefully. If infections go untreated, affected survivors can turn into zombies themselves, leaving players with tough choices about whether to exile or risk the lives of others in the shelter.

The update also introduces new zombie variants that roam the city, each with unpredictable behaviors that challenge even experienced players. To help balance the scales, a new survivor joins the roster: Vince. He is a rebellious teen from a privileged background with a chip on his shoulder and useful skills.

Players can now customize their difficulty experience, choosing from Casual, Normal, or Hard modes or adjusting individual game settings to create a tailored challenge. Additionally, the game expands its accessibility with the inclusion of Thai language support.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days continues to evolve through Early Access, offering a tense, story-driven take on the zombie survival genre. The new update is free for all current owners of the game, which is priced at $24.99 on Steam.
