Independent studio Brainium Games has launched Zombies Overloaded, a frantic arcade-style shooter. The game is now available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. A free demo is also up on Steam for those looking to try before they buy.
Zombies Overloaded drops players into claustrophobic arenas, where waves of undead rush in from all directions. With weapons spawning at random, survival depends on quick reflexes, sharp aim, and a bit of luck. Every five waves, a powerful boss appears, ranging from massive hammer-wielding brutes to mutated S.W.A.T. units, each more dangerous than the last.
The game’s Overloaded stages take the intensity up a notch, pushing players to adapt as boss enemies return stronger with each encounter. Two challenging starting maps, No Escape and Cornered, offer distinct layouts for players to master, each demanding a different approach to survive the escalating swarm.
For those seeking a unique challenge, Pacifism Mode removes weapons entirely. In this mode, success relies on speed, clever power-up use, and evasive movement. Players can also personalize their playthrough with unlockable skins and upgrade their stats like damage, speed, and health. Bones collected during runs serve as currency to unlock more options.
With global leaderboards and achievements, Zombies Overloaded blends classic arcade thrills with modern gameplay hooks, challenging players to outlast the horde and climb the ranks as the ultimate zombie slayer.
