Neolithic Dawn Will Arrive on the Horizon Store for Meta Quest This June

Survive at All Costs in Neolithic Dawn

Indie studio Neolithic is gearing up to launch Neolithic Dawn, a VR survival adventure set in 10,000 BC North America. Arriving in Early Access on the Horizon Store for Meta Quest on June 27, 2025, the game promises an immersive journey through a living prehistoric world.

Players take on the role of a hunter-gatherer raised by a tribe, embarking on a dangerous quest to reclaim their roots and rise as the next Star Seeker. But this journey isn’t confined to one lifetime. With its unique multigenerational permadeath system, Neolithic Dawn lets players continue the story through their descendants, returning to the world 20 years later. This mechanic brings evolving landscapes, shifting cultures, and inherited knowledge, offering a sense of long-term progression rarely seen in VR.

Built around realistic physics, the game allows players to craft tools and weapons manually, climb terrain, and interact naturally with the environment. Survival involves tough choices, whether to hunt Ice Age creatures or attempt to tame them as companions. A dynamic weather system, real-time day and night cycles, and five open-world maps deepen the sense of immersion and realism.

The Meta Quest version launches in June, and the team is also developing a Steam edition, though its release date remains unannounced. Neolithic Dawn invites players to experience the survival story of not just a single character, but of an evolving lineage in a world shaped by nature, time, and choice.
