Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Invades Rogers Arena During Canucks vs. Blackhawks Game

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and The Canucks Collide

Canuck fans (and probably more than a few Connor Bedard fans) and gamers were in for a little treat last night as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 took over Rogers Arena during the Vancouver Canucks’ clash with the Chicago Blackhawks. In what can be described as a Black Ops 6 takeover, the activation brought the energy of the franchise to life, creating a slick experience for everyone in attendance. A big thank you to Xbox and Activision for including COGconnected in this pretty cool experience, especially for a Canadian who loves hockey.

Outside Section 111, the Black Ops 6 activation was the talk of the arena. Massive key art signage drew in fans eager to check out the action. Xbox stations were packed with folks getting hands-on time with some of the multiplayer maps like Nuketown, while others lined up to snag exclusive Call of Duty swag.

Adding to the buzz was a sweet Triumph motorcycle, decked out in custom Black Ops 6 graphics, which served as the perfect photo op for fans. The area buzzed with energy all night, as folks shared their excitement and likely took home memories they won’t soon forget.

The Black Ops 6 presence wasn’t confined to just one area. Throughout the arena, trailers and ads played on digital screens, sucking the sell-out crowd into the game’s intense and high-octane world.

The jumbotron and LED rings lit up with Black Ops-themed visuals during breaks in the game. It was truly an impressive takeover.

During the second intermission, an ice projection display set the stage for the game’s full-length trailer, promoting ‘Season One, ‘ which just started a couple of days ago.

But the surprises didn’t stop there. Parachute drops from the rafters sent game codes raining down on lucky fans, sparking cheers from the crowd as they scrambled to grab their prizes.

The evening was a smashing success, as the Canucks beat the Blackhawks 4-1. Connor Bedard was pretty invisible throughout the night but the Canucks looked sharp in a solid victory. Fans left Rogers Arena not only talking about the Pettey and the Canucks’ but also the Black Ops 6 takeover.

If this is any indication of what’s to come, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is poised to dominate both arenas and screens everywhere. Be sure to check out our Black Ops 6 review HERE and check out some of favourite (and least favourite) multiplayer maps HERE.
