Take a Look at Dragon Quest III Hd-2D Remake
Square Enix has released several new videos and trailers for the upcoming Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. The game will be launching on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, on 14 November.
First, Nintendo has released a nearly 6-minute overview trailer highlighting the game’s many key features. At the same time, bringing back fond memories for longtime Dragon Quest fans. The overview trailer highlights two exciting features: Vocations and the Monster Arena. One of the Vocations is a special job that unlocks only “under certain conditions”, a nice nod for fans of the original game. The Monster Arena is a new addition for this remake, letting you send friendly monsters into battle. However, fans of the series may recognize this feature from other Dragon Quest titles.
PlayStation has released a seven-minute gameplay showcase as well, captured entirely on the PS5 at 60fps. It offers a sneak peek at the combat and a quest set in the Underground Lake. Square Enix (via PlayStation.Blog) shares more about the gameplay. Your mission is to rescue the peaceful town of Norvik, now under a mysterious curse. To break the curse, you must find the Dreamstone hidden deep in the Underground Lake. Square also highlights new gameplay features, such as speeding up combat and letting characters act automatically.
