Stardew Valley Version 1.6 Update, which came to PC earlier this year, is now heading to consoles. Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone, the creator of the game, just announced on the Stardew website and social media that the 1.6 update for consoles and mobile devices is dropping on November 4, 2024. The update will be Version 1.6.9, and PC players can expect it simultaneously.

“Hello all, The console and mobile ports of the 1.6 update will be released on November 4th, 2024. Thank you for your patience. The console and mobile ports will release at version 1.6.9, which will also come to PC around that time. I’m looking forward to having 1.6 fully released on all platforms. Then I would like to finish Haunted Chocolatier next. Thank you -Ape”

Barone has also confirmed that this update will arrive on the Nintendo Switch platform as well. He explained that he always releases updates on PC first because it’s like a “beta test.” This way, he can catch any major bugs before launching on consoles, where fixing problems isn’t as quick or easy.

And you don’t need to start a new file with Version 1.6 as you can still enjoy almost everything new with your current save. However, there are a few fresh features, especially in the first year, that might feel a bit different compared to the later years. Once this is done, Barone plans to wrap up his next game, Haunted Chocolatier. Take a look at the full changelog for the Version 1.6 Update on the official Stardew Website.
