Supermassive Games has announced a new Dark Pictures game called Directive 8020. It is a sci-fi survival horror adventure that will be coming out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. This game combines thrilling survival challenges with a dynamic storyline. Hollywood actress Lashana Lynch, known for her roles in Bob Marley: One Love and The Woman King, stars as the trailblazing astronaut ‘Young.’
The game takes a dramatic step forward for the series, introducing persistent real-time threats, all-new stealth gameplay mechanics, and enhanced interactive cinematics powered by Unreal Engine 5.
In Directive 8020, the Earth is about to die out, and humanity is running out of time. But there’s a glimmer of hope 12 light years away on a planet called Tau Ceti f. The colony ship Cassiopeia crashes there, and the crew quickly realizes they’re not alone.
A deadly alien creature that can imitate its prey is hunting them. The crew must outsmart the alien if they want to survive and make it back home. But the toughest decision lies ahead: to save themselves, they might have to put everyone on Earth in danger.
