PixelsCove Unveils Hundred Nights: DIFU, a City-Building Sim Set In the Eastern Underworld

Wishlist Hundred Nights: Difu on Steam Now

PixelsCove Games has officially revealed Hundred Nights: DIFU, a new city-building and management simulation game that has now entered its alpha development stage. Designed for PC, the indie title takes players to the ancient Eastern underworld, offering a fresh twist on the management simulation genre. Alongside the announcement, the developer also shared an early gameplay preview, giving fans a first look at the project’s current progress.

Drawing inspiration from popular management games like Two Point, Prison Architect, and Tiny Glade, Hundred Nights: DIFU combines familiar simulation mechanics with a setting rarely explored in games. Players take on the role of the newly appointed Head of the Underworld, tasked with rebuilding a broken version of the Eastern hell, known as DIFU, while guiding lost souls through judgment, punishment, and ultimately rebirth.

One of the game’s biggest highlights is its extensive terraforming system, allowing players to reshape the underworld by creating mountains, floating islands, and even the legendary eighteen levels of hell. Along the way, players will hire soulkeepers with different abilities, manage long queues of souls, and prevent unhappy spirits from transforming into destructive Grudges that can disrupt daily operations.

The game also introduces Fengdu City, where souls can satisfy their everyday needs, including food, rest, entertainment, and more. Keeping both the city and the underworld running efficiently will be essential for restoring balance.

Wrapped in a colorful 3D cartoon art style with strong influences from ancient Chinese culture, Hundred Nights: DIFU blends humor, creative world-building, and strategic management into a unique experience. PixelsCove Games plans to launch the first closed playtest during the second half of 2026. So, make sure to keep an eye out.
