The Nightmare Has Just Begun
The solo game developer Katruna is proud to announce its upcoming title Broken Soul. It is a pixelated adventure horror game, inspired by Silent Hill and The Count Lucanor. It will be available for PC via Steam, however, there is no release date so far.
The game follows the story of Alex, a person lost in his own personal hell and must confront his demons. He wakes up half asleep from a nightmare on his way up in the elevator of his block of flats. The light on the floor suddenly went off but he didn’t think about it much and entered his room to relax.
He starts to notice some weird things happening to him as he finds his room in a mess with a ready-made lunch “From Mom to Lisa”. Alex even heard weird noises coming from his wardrobe and he starts to question his own sanity. Everything seems familiar and alien at the same time. A huge part of his memory got erased.
Here are some key features:
- Find Alex’s lost memories and retain the chain of events, which drove Alex mad.
- Solve puzzles created by the Nightmare. It will not let you go for free.
- Escape and hide from the embodiments of fear. They are not happy to see you, not you them, indeed. Any mistake may become a fatal one.
- Make good use of the things you find. Photos can help to restore your memories, but the amount of photos you can take is fairly limited.
- Be cautious and silent. Panic and carelessness can only lead to the traps prepared by the Nightmare.
