The Next Entry
Attention Xbox players, your very own story of survival is right around the corner. You will need to put everything to the test. Your endurance, skills, and more will all be necessary to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Today, TML-Studios is proud to announce that pre-orders for the Xbox Series versions of their narrative-driven survival adventure game, Dead Man’s Diary, are available. The announcement for the Xbox version of the game follows an already successful launch on PC via Steam. However, multiple upgrades and revisions are coming to the Xbox version. A press release provides more details.
Dead Man’s Diary invites players to a post-apocalyptic world torn apart by nuclear war. Importantly, the game functions by blending genres between an enthralling narrative of survival and the actual process of surviving. Players will craft, solve puzzles, and manage their supplies as they survive their new hostile home. Of course, every piece of the player’s equipment is craftable and upgradeable. Yet, every piece of equipment also takes up space. Managing resources is essential to survival as players need to pick and choose what is vital and what they can leave behind. The world outside of your bunker is hellish and unforgiving, so remember to do what you can to stay safe and sane.
Interestingly, the game is told through a narrative written in the titular diary. The survivor’s mind state as well as the deeper themes of the narrative are all conveyed in entries and soliloquies. Of course, players can uncover more and more entries as they adventure through over fifty hours of gameplay.
Dead Man’s Diary is out now on Steam. The game will be releasing for Xbox Series consoles later this year.
