An Homage to the PastÂ
It’s time to clean up the mean streets of San Francisco. Lock-and-load and join the elite task force to take on Big Boss X. Today, Monster Bath Studios is happy to announce that their action, sidescroller, Deathwish Enforcers, is officially out digitally on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A parody of 60’s and 70’s action cop movies, the game invites players to join an elite task force designed to clean up the streets. A press release goes into more detail about the game. Additionally, fans can check out the release trailer for a glimpse of the art style and its comparison to the golden games of the past.Â
An homage to the 1991 game, Sunset Riders, Deathwish Enforcers throws players into the titular task force. Pit against a whole slew of crimes, players will be forced to take on the different forces of Big Boss X as they attempt to save San Francisco. Of course, players will tame undead-filled cemeteries, take on biker gangs, and beat the crap out of criminals for power-ups. Importantly, the game aims to capture the feeling of the arcade classics of the past. It combines beat-em-up action shooting with side-scrolling adventure.Â
The game includes 7 action-filled levels. Furthermore, there are four different members to choose from. Each member comes with their own weapons to use. Of course, players can get a look at the game in the new release trailer. Check it out below.
