Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Collection Will Release In 2022
Konami is one of the biggest names in the video game industry and yesterday, the company made a major announcement. For fans of retro and classic games, and gamers of old, Konami along with Digital Eclipse are releasing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Collection. The collection will include thirteen titles from the past as the quartet fight to defeat Shredder. It is set to release sometime in 2022. Physical and digital editions will be available for $39.99USD. It will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
Furthermore, the games will include modern day quality of life improvements such as saving anytime and rewinding, added online play for certain games and local couch play for all titles. Additionally, each title will include a guide that will assist players in navigating through more difficult areas.
Also, the titles were playable on arcade, SNES, NES, Sega Genesis and the Game Boy. The games are based on the historic franchise wherein the Ninja Turtles take on Shredder. Players are taken through sewers in New York City to futuristic enemy bases and even across time. Fans of the franchise will recognize imagery from the cartoons, comics and much more. Additionally, never before seen art, sketches and game design material will be included.
Players will fight against Shredder in a variety of games. The announcement trailer gives fans some insight into the games as it showcases quality of life improvements, gameplay and more.
