And There Isn’t a Battleship In Sight
It’s been a long time coming, but the next big golf game officially licensed by the PGA Tour is almost here. Details on PGA Tour 2K21 have been sparse, but developer HB Studios have finally dropped the full course list, and it features some of the most beautiful locations in the world.
As to be expected, renowned courses such as Augusta National, Pine Valley, and St. Andrews didn’t make it to the dance. EA Sports has had a notoriously tricky history in acquiring rights to said locales, and it seems as if 2K may be facing similar challenges. However, what has been announced is fantastic and will surely whet the appetites of golf fans that have been clamoring to get back out on the links.

Senior Producer Shaun West spoke on the team’s philosophy behind course creation, and what he hopes players will experience once they get their hands on the game:
“Our goal is to make the PGA Tour 2K21 in-game TPC course recreations as detailed as possible, so it feels like you’re actually playing the course alongside top PGA Tour pros. To see professionals play these courses on TV, and then watch each come to life as playable courses within the game, is an incredibly cool process to see. We’re excited for our fans to be able to experience it as well.”
PGA Tour 2K21 is set to launch August 21st on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and Microsoft Windows.
