To say that this has been one of the most anticipated games of the year would be an incredible understatement. Ghost of Tsushima took many people by storm when it was first revealed for its absolutely brilliant aesthetic and breathtaking setting. Long were the days we waited to see it finally grace our consoles and the game does not disappoint. Ghost of Tsushima more than lives up to its expectations and we couldn’t be happier with the execution of this thought-provoking, soul-stirring epic. Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure experience set in the 13th century on the island of Tsushima. Players take on the role of Jin Sakai, a samurai warrior and the last to survive a brutal attack by the Mongolians. Jin travels on a quest to avenge his people, but in doing so he comes into conflict with his code of honor. Stealth and assassination will be necessary to not only advance, but to survive, yet this sort of tactic is dishonorable to the samurai. While you will find many similarities in gameplay to something like Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima offers a much deeper and more rigorous combat system, as well as a powerful narrative as we follow through Jin’s struggles to survive and maintain the samurai way.
