John Wick Doing What John Wick Does Best in Gameplay Videos

John Wick Hex Gameplay

We have all learned that John Wick is not a man to be trifled with. Brought to life by none other than Keanu Reeves, we expected the announced John Wick video game to be a slick action shooter in the vein of Max Payne. While that might be what first comes to mind, it is definitely not what we got. Instead, John Wick’s first official video game outing is a tactical, turn based strategy affair full of close range combat, gun play, and figuring out exactly how to survive these impossible situations Wick finds himself overcoming. It may sound a bit odd at first, but we have a few gameplay videos for you to get an idea of just what it means to be in the shoes of the man himself.

And of course, who could forget this classic moment from the original John Wick film.

John Wick Hex is a turn based tactical shooter in which players control the titular character. Each action you take will require a certain amount of time displayed on screen, so you’ll need to keep an eye on your surroundings as you manage what limited time you have until the bullets begin flying. Movement, shooting, dodging, rolling, everything will play out a few seconds at a time until the level is completed, where players are treated with the option to watch the scenario play out in real time based on the decisions you made. It’s a neat idea and is sure to inspire plenty of creative videos when the game releases.
