The Steam Version is Coming January 2020
Earlier today on Twitter, the Monster Hunter Twitter account dropped a bombshell. Monster Hunter: Iceborn will be dropping on September 6th, 2019. This is a big deal for fans who have been patiently waiting for some news on when this expansion is going to officially be released. Monster Hunter has been a massive success so far. And fans have been anxiously awaiting more content.
Developed by Capcom the original game was released last year on January 26th, 2018. As the title explains, the main goal is that the player has is to hunt and kill monsters that roam the world. You can team up with friends or go in solo. Going in by yourself is notoriously difficult however, so bringing a couple of buddies along is ideal.
The immediate success of the original game pushed Capcom to make an expansion. This is what Iceborn is. Iceborn will be adding tons of new content as well as improving on some of the base mechanics of the game. New weapons, armor, levels, and of course, monsters will be available in the new expansion.
Browsing their website you can find a whole catalog of new monsters that will be added to the game. The new Iceborn expansion is going to be set in a frozen winter wonderland. Hence the name Iceborn. The winter themes will reflect on what your character wears to brave the elements but also how the new creatures look. Most of the new beasts you and your friends will be fighting will have icicles hanging off them or will breathe snow/frost instead of fire. You get the idea.
Iceborn was in beta for quite some time. So expect a polished and crisp final product. Capcom seems to be putting tons of resources into this game. It should pay off.
