Save The Priestess, Save The World
Sometimes you’re too late to prevent a murder from happening. In cases like that, all you can do is go back in time, right? Omensight looks to give you that chance when the game launches this May. Also, said murder is a harbinger of the end of the world. So, no pressure, right?
Omensight takes place in a vibrant, gorgeous world known as Urralia. Essentially, we’re looking at a Majora’s Mask/Groundhog Day situation. The fateful day will keep repeating until you’re successful in saving the priestess and preventing the apocalypse. You’ll gather clues, beat up monsters, and slowly get closer to uncovering the truth. Combat is a flowing, rhythmic operation that keeps you moving all over the battlefield, which I always appreciate. On top of that, the game itself looks just delightful. I mean, as delightful as an apocalypse can really look.
The developers at Spearhead Games released a gameplay video this morning, complete with commentary. If you’re looking for a much more detailed breakdown of Omensight and its various systems, check it out below. Omensight will be out on PC and PS4 on May 15th. PS4 pre-orders will be up tomorrow, and you can put the game on your Steam wishlist right now.
