Have Faith in the New Team Behind This Resident Evil 2
Capcom announced the return of a horror classic, and, naturally, this has put many fans on edge. With Resident Evil 2 scheduled for a remake, someone had to allay some fears. Who better than original director Hideki Kamiya? The beloved dev recently took to Twitter to talk about what to expect. First off, he believes everyone should trust the new game makers.
Kamiya reported that he spoke with the new director of The Resident Evil 2 and told him, โDo as you like.โ He speculates that the remake is going to be great, despite the fact that he hasnโt seen it yet. Not just great but better than the original. So itโs safe to say that these new devs have the original directorโs blessing.
Will be way better. RT @BladerKoyotte RE2 is a masterpiece. Hope REmake 2 be the same.

I went drinking with him last year & told him โDo as you likeโ. Thatโs the way directors should do. I trust him & his team
RT @GameEvilKnight: Do you think they will do your game justice ?

Itโ not necessary. RT @RoboGuy2K: Even if you arenโt officially involved, has anyone working on REmake 2 come to you for advice on it?

Kamiya also revealed that, during the production of Resident Evil 2, he was not a big fan of horror games. True enough, he hasnโt developed a horror game since he moved on to Platinum Games. Even so, we can thank him for the work heโs done on behalf of Capcom and should probably share is faith in the remake of RE2. Donโt you think?
