Nolan North: โThey Mapped My Face for Uncharted 4โฆThatโs My Face, for Godโs Sakes.โ
As the best-reviewed game of 2016, itโs no surprised to see Uncharted 4 win yet another award. But this time around, it wasnโt even a game outlet. In receiving honors from the Annie Awards, Uncharted 4: A Thiefโs End is winning in the Oscars of animation. Big deal. These awards exist to recognize major achievements in all forms of animation. And this year Naughty Dog won for โOutstanding Achievement in Character Animation.โ
In winning this yearโs award, Uncharted 4 beat out the likes of The Witcher III: Blood and Wine, Titanfall 2(Happy to see an FPS nominated), and the mobile game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Legends. Thus, Creative Director of the game Niel Druckmann took to twitter in order to congratulate the animators. Due praise for services rendered.
Congrats to our kick ass animators on their win tonight! #Uncharted4 #AnnieAwards
