Ancient Greek mob experts Coffee Powered Machine and toga enthusiasts Devolver Digital released Okhlos on Steam, GOG, and Humble today. You can check it out here on Steam. Okhlos and Okhlos: Olympus Edition, which includes the Encyclopedia, soundtrack and Prototype Collection, are both 10% off on Steam during launch week ($12.99 standard, $22.99 Olympus Edition).

The game strictly adheres to historical fact as players step into the sandals of ancient Greek philosophers and lead angry mobs of irate citizens, warriors, and livestock in an effort to bring down the oppressive gods of mythological Greece. Recruit, craft, and upgrade mobs of all sizes to take down everything from minotaurs and cyclops to ancient temples and the mighty Olympians themselves.

You can get a glimpse of what the game is like with it’s launch trailer below:

Squeeze into your toga and slide on your sandals to rally the angry mobs of Okhlos and bring down the oppressive god of mythological Greece! Your beloved people will not longer stand for the abuse from their deities and take up arms against them and taking down anything and everything in their path. Topple the beastly minotaur, bring down sacred temples, and confront the almighty Olympians themselves while recruiting and balancing your unruly mob with warriors, peasants, slaves and even livestock in their quest for freedom from Mount Olympus! It’s total anarchy in the birthplace of democracy!

Fans of the game and toga enthusiasts can follow the angry rage of the people via Twitter @Okhlos and @DevolverDigital or by visiting the game’s website here on their most personal of computers.

Stay tuned for our review of the game going live tomorrow morning and remember to keep it locked to COG for the latest news, reviews, and features within the gaming world.
