Rainbow Six Siege: Dust Line Brings New Map, Operators

Take Down Terrorists in Operation Dust Line

The next batch of planned content for Rainbow Six Siege brings a bevy of goodies for its dedicated playerbase. In Operation Dust Line, fans can expect a new map, touted as “the most destructible one yet”, as well as two new operators who sound like they are well-equipped to get the job done. Valkyrie is the first, and she has the ability to create a tiny network of sticky cameras that her and her team can utilize. Awareness is everything in these games, and Valkyrie’s skillset is sure to be a boon to any team.

Next up, we have Blackbeard. He doesn’t pillage the high seas, but he’s prepared to stand up to any amount of fire with his rifle-mounted shield. He can push into areas quite easily with it, and will serve as an excellent character for those who like to lead the charge. Let’s face it, a rifle-mounted shield also sounds flat-out badass. These two operators go live for folks along with the release of Operation Dust Line on May 11, where those who have the season pass will unlock them immediately. The rest of the player-base will need to go about unlocking them the usual way, either by R6 Credits (which cost you actual money), or the in-game currency known as Renown.

That’s not all though. Dust Line brings a variety of customization options for players, and new headgear and charms take the front of the pack. Players can help kit out their operatives even further, and another welcomed change with this patch is the ability to do so mid round. It’s the perfect way to get ready to show off in the new post game victory screen (or hide your shame, if you lose.)

This patch will also bring about a variety of balancing changes. Players can now interrupt their actions (in case you have second thoughts on breaching that wall), and all the operatives will be getting a bit of an adjustment (or a bit of love, in the case of Tachanka, who can now place his gun much quicker than before). Prepare yourselves for the new content, as it drops May 11th, and nobody wants to let the terrorists win, right?
