In the UK game sales charts for the week ending August 8th 2015, Xbox One exclusive held the top spot, making it the first Xbox One exclusive game to achieve that feat in its debut.
Rounding out the top 5 were Lego Jurassic World, Batman: Arkham Knight, The Elder Scrolls Online, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Rare Replay is a collection of 30 video games previously developed by Rare in celebration of its 30th anniversary. It was released on August 4, 2015. It has gotten mostly favorable reviews so far.
This is just the latest positive news in a pretty good last couple of weeks for Microsoft’s console, with its announcement of backwards-compatibility being well-received by gamers, and its strong presence at gamescom in Germany. It is unclear yet, however, whether any of this has translated into a boost in sales for the Xbox One console, which has been soundly beaten so far by the PS4.
