Prepare to Solve the Mystery of UNKNOWN PASSENGER 47
LilyCompany has announced that the Steam page for UNKNOWN PASSENGER 47 is now live, allowing players to wishlist the upcoming text-based mystery ahead of its release on Windows and macOS. The game will support five languages: English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. Its release date and price have yet to be revealed.
Already available on unityroom and itch.io, UNKNOWN PASSENGER 47 has attracted 60,000 page views. Players can also try its Japanese-language browser demo on itch.io.

The mystery begins when Soten Airlines Flight SA417 crashes while travelling from Taipei to Tokyo. All 47 passengers and crew members die, but rescuers recover 48 bodies from the wreckage. Players take on the role of an identification officer tasked with uncovering the identity of the extra victim.
To solve the case, players must compare numbered body records against passenger and crew manifests. Clues such as dental records, surgical scars, clothing, and personal belongings help identify the victims, while 17 types of supporting documents, including hotel records and in-flight sales receipts, reveal connections and contradictions.
Players can organize evidence across their desk, arrange document cards, and add sticky notes to track their theories. The game also offers three levels of hints for each body record, automatic saving, and no time limits or game-over penalties for incorrect deductions.
Estimated to take two to three hours to complete, UNKNOWN PASSENGER 47 looks like an intriguing pick for mystery fans. The question of why 48 bodies were recovered from a flight carrying 47 people is a compelling hook, and solving that puzzle could make this investigation worth adding to your Steam wishlist.
