FLING UP TOGETHER Updates Its Free Demo With Voice Chat and New Cosmetics

More Chaos Update Awaits in FLING UP TOGETHER

OFF BOX Studios has rolled out a major demo update for FLING UP TOGETHER, giving it a fresh batch of features for Steam Next Fest. The two-player co-op platformer is available to try on Steam throughout the event, running from October 19 to October 26.

Built around one simple idea, the game ties two players together with a rope and sends them climbing through an Arabian-inspired world of floating islands, ancient ruins, and towering bridges. Players must pull, fling, and rescue each other to keep moving, but there’s a catch: when one player falls, both lose progress.

The biggest addition in the latest update is proximity voice chat. Players can now talk directly in-game, making it easier to coordinate jumps, shout for help, or blame each other when a risky move goes horribly wrong.

The update also adds character skins and emotes, letting players customize their climbers and celebrate successful moves or react to spectacular failures. Those willing to stray from the main route can hunt for hidden treasure chests, while collectible bugs give curious players another reason to explore every ledge.

“Next Fest is where a lot of players will meet the game for the first time, so we wanted the demo to feel like a real taste of the full climb. Proximity chat was the big one. The rope already makes you talk to each other, now the game is part of that conversation,” said Ammar from OFF BOX Studios.

With proximity chat now in the mix, even a simple climb could turn into a comedy of errors. Grab a friend, prepare for a few questionable decisions, and see how far your teamwork can take you.
