Dupery: A Game of Solo Deduction Is Launching on Steam on 15th October

Unravel the Mysteries in Dupery

Yogscast Games and Gilded Rune Games have announced that Dupery: A Game of Solo Deduction will launch on Steam on October 15, giving players a new mystery-solving experience to look forward to. The game will also receive a 20% launch discount following the successful completion of a community puzzle challenge.

As revealed during the Convergence Showcase, members of the Dupery Discord community managed to crack an alternate reality game (ARG) by solving a series of increasingly difficult clues. Their efforts unlocked the launch discount, rewarding the community’s dedication ahead of the game’s release.

Dupery combines social deduction mechanics with roguelite progression and puzzle-solving, putting players in the role of a detective investigating cases in an atmospheric film noir setting. Rather than relying on multiplayer deception, the game delivers a solo experience built around observation, deduction, and careful decision-making.

Players will have more than 175 handcrafted roles to work with, alongside three distinct regions featuring their own mechanics and characters. Procedurally generated cases aim to keep each run fresh, while different roles, quirks, and modifiers allow players to experiment with their approach between missions.

The game also features a reputation meter that players must protect while making arrests. To help organize their investigations, detectives can use an in-game notation toolkit featuring strings, pins, and notes to connect clues and build their own crime board.

With its combination of investigative puzzles, replayable cases, and roguelite mechanics, Dupery could appeal to players who enjoy testing their detective skills. Its October 15 launch and 20% discount also give mystery fans a good reason to check it out on Steam.
