Wild West Pioneers Gives Players One Last Playtest Before Its Release in Early Access

Saddle up for Wild West Pioneers

The Wild West is calling, and Wild West Pioneers is giving players one final chance to answer before its Early Access launch later this month. EmpireCraft Studios and Toplitz Productions have kicked off the final open playtest for the upcoming city builder, giving aspiring frontier settlers an early look at what awaits beyond the edge of civilization.

The playtest is now live and will run until September 14, with playtime limited to two hours. Players who get in will be able to experience a specially prepared build featuring a selection of the game’s mechanics and systems while exploring its story-driven take on life in the unforgiving frontier.

Of course, building a town in the Wild West isn’t simply about putting up a few wooden cabins. Players will need to keep production running, gather valuable resources such as timber and gold, expand their settlements, and make sure their growing population has everything it needs to survive. As settlements develop into bustling towns, the surrounding frontier promises plenty of dangers and unexpected adventures along the way.

The playtest also gives players a chance to send direct feedback to the developers, helping shape the game as it heads toward Early Access and beyond.

Wild West Pioneers is set to launch in Early Access on September 25, 2026, for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. If you’ve ever wanted to turn a dusty frontier outpost into a thriving Wild West town, this might be the perfect time to saddle up and give it a shot.
