WARDOGS Has Officially Sold Over Over 1 Million Copies

A Huge Milestone for WARDOGS

BULKHEAD and Team17 have announced that WARDOGS has officially sold over 1 million copies, marking a major milestone as the 100-player tactical FPS launches into Steam Early Access.

The achievement follows months of strong momentum leading up to release. The game first attracted 100,000 Steam wishlists within just three days of its reveal, climbed past 500,000 in May, and reached the 1 million wishlist mark in August. Now, that excitement has translated into more than 1 million players purchasing the game.

BULKHEAD CEO Joe Brammer celebrated the milestone, saying the team deliberately focused on showing players what WARDOGS truly was instead of relying on blind hype. He also emphasized that Early Access is only the beginning, with more improvements, fixes, and new content planned based on community feedback.

That feedback has already played a significant role in development. Nearly 500,000 players participated in the August Closed Beta, while the final pre-launch playtest peaked at 245,118 concurrent players on Steam. According to the developers, those large-scale tests helped improve the game’s performance and stability ahead of launch.

To celebrate the community, BULKHEAD has also kicked off the #WARDOGS100K Clip Contest. The best gameplay clip will earn a $100,000 cash prize, while the remaining Top 100 entries will each receive $100,000 in-game currency.

With an impressive launch and a growing community behind it, WARDOGS is off to a remarkably strong start in Early Access.
