NASCAR 26 Is Racing Towards Release This Month
NASCAR and iRacing Studios have shared a brand-new developer diary for NASCAR 26, offering a closer look at the racing sim’s biggest gameplay improvements ahead of its launch on September 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The latest video focuses heavily on the expanded Career Mode, where players will do more than just race. A new weekly strategy system lets you plan your schedule, manage decisions, and shape your journey throughout an entire driving career, making progression feel more personal and dynamic.
Another major addition is The Chase, a standalone customizable mode that recreates the final 10-race championship battle. Players can choose their own competitors and fight for the title in a season-ending playoff format inspired by NASCAR’s biggest moments.
Beyond the new modes, NASCAR 26 introduces the Peak Performance training feature to help drivers improve their skills, alongside updated driver ratings, enhanced side drafting mechanics, a revamped paint kit for deeper customization, and noticeable graphical upgrades. The game also features dynamic tracks that evolve over each race weekend, creating changing racing conditions from start to finish.
Kyle Larson headlines this year’s cover, while the game includes all four major NASCAR series: the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Craftsman Truck Series, and ARCA Menards Series, complete with officially licensed drivers. Players can choose between the Standard and Gold Editions, with the latter offering three days of early access and several career bonuses.
With its stronger simulation features and deeper career experience, NASCAR 26 is shaping up to be the franchise’s most ambitious entry yet.
