New Rooms and Puzzles Arrive in Escape Simulator 2
Escape Simulator 2 is getting a much darker challenge. Pine Studio has launched the game’s first major DLC, Apocalypse, sending players into a ruined near-future where civilization has fallen apart, and every clue could lead them one step closer to survival.
Priced at £4.99 / €5.99 / $5.99, the Apocalypse DLC adds four new escape rooms, four tougher Darkest puzzles, and a collection of new character outfits. The entire expansion is available on PC flatscreen and Steam VR.
The adventure follows a mysterious trail leading toward Sanctuary, a rumored underground facility that could still contain survivors. Players will have to explore abandoned locations, restore forgotten systems, and connect scattered clues to uncover what happened.
The journey starts at 57th Avenue Station, an overgrown subway station where the old machinery still appears to function. From there, players will visit the deserted Auto Fuel station before heading to a remote Safe House equipped with solar panels and a mysterious signal. Finally, the trail leads to Sanctuary, a sealed facility built to withstand the collapse.
For players looking for an even bigger challenge, the DLC’s four Darkest puzzles offer tougher optional tests hidden throughout the new environments. As with the rest of the game, players can tackle the new rooms solo or with friends. The expansion also follows last week’s free VR mode update.
With four new locations packed with secrets and puzzles, Apocalypse gives Escape Simulator 2 fans plenty of new reasons to start searching for answers. Escape Simulator 2 is available on Steam for £14.99 / €16.99 / $19.99.
