DEPERSON Heads to The MIX Fall Showcase Following Gamescom Best Visuals Recognition

Unravel the Truth in DEPERSON

Surreal psychological horror title DEPERSON is coming to The MIX Fall Showcase in Seattle this week. Its arrival will give players another chance to experience one of the year’s most visually striking indie games. Developed by Error Thing and published by PARCO GAMES, the hand-drawn adventure has been gaining momentum across major international events.

The game recently earned a nomination for Best Visuals at the Gamescom Awards 2026. It was also recognized in the Excellence in Art category at the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026. Both nominations celebrate DEPERSON’s distinctive hand-drawn art style, surreal environments, and unsettling atmosphere that blurs the line between reality and illusion.

In DEPERSON, players step into the role of Aaron, a young man who awakens with no memory inside Indrija, a dystopian nation ruled by surveillance, conformity, and fear. As Aaron searches for the truth about his past, the world around him begins to shift in disturbing ways, exposing secrets better left buried.

Gameplay combines exploration, environmental puzzles, and narrative-driven decision-making. Players must carefully observe their surroundings, use each character’s unique abilities, and manipulate the environment to overcome obstacles. Every choice influences Aaron’s personality and the fate of those around him. It can even make him compassionate, ruthless, or completely broken.

With its growing list of award nominations and unforgettable visual identity, DEPERSON is shaping up to be an indie horror game worth keeping a close eye on.
