Death Falls: Zombies Are Coming Puts You on the Front Line Against the Hordes

Death Falls: Zombies Are Coming Is Launching Next Year

Zombie tower defense games usually have you sitting safely behind the action. Death Falls: Zombies Are Coming has a different idea: put the player right in the middle of it.

South African indie developer MoonCrust has officially announced this new zombie survival and tower defense game that is coming to Steam in 2027. Its Steam page is already live, giving players an early look at what to expect.

The game splits its action between day and night. During the day, players can gather timber, repair their RV, build watchtowers and fences, and venture into the surrounding wilderness to search for weapons and recruit survivors. Once night arrives, the undead swarm in from every direction, and you’ll have to fight alongside the defenses you’ve built.

That means getting your hands dirty. Players can take on the horde with weapons including a pump shotgun, hunting rifle, flamethrower, chainsaw, grenades, and even a stop-sign shield. Different zombie types will also force players to rethink their defenses, with Screamers driving nearby zombies into a frenzy, Bloaters exploding near defenses, and Brutes simply smashing through fences.

The journey also keeps moving. Instead of defending one base, you’ll make stops at locations ranging from forest campgrounds and gas stations to small towns with multiple routes for the zombies to attack.

Death Falls: Zombies Are Coming looks set to put a more hands-on spin on tower defense when it arrives in 2027. If fighting the horde yourself sounds more appealing than watching from the sidelines, this one could be worth keeping an eye on.
