Things Are Getting More Realistic in Bodycam
Reissad Studio has officially released the v0.8 “Locked & Loaded” update for Bodycam, marking the biggest gameplay and content overhaul the photorealistic FPS has received so far. The update is now available on PC via Steam and introduces several major changes aimed at making combat feel more dynamic and realistic.
One of the biggest additions is the new “True Body” system, which replaces many traditional static animations with procedural character reactions. Operators can now fumble reloads under pressure, adjust their grip, shield their eyes from explosions, reach for radios, and even reposition their body cameras after intense movement.
The update also introduces procedural stumbling physics, allowing characters to lose their balance, stumble, and attempt to recover after taking damage or colliding with objects.
Weapon customization has received a major upgrade as well. Players can now build loadouts across Primary, Secondary, Melee, Explosive, and Gadget slots, with hundreds of attachments creating millions of possible combinations. New tactical equipment includes throwable melee weapons, a Tactical Tablet, FPV drones, and reconnaissance RC cars.
Meanwhile, The Trenches provides a brand-new close-quarters map designed around intense firefights and team coordination. Reissad Studio has also rebuilt the game’s audio with real-world recordings, improved suppression effects, directional footsteps, bullet cracks, and environmental shockwaves.
The “Locked & Loaded” update also brings networking improvements, performance fixes, UI upgrades, and other changes based on community feedback.
Overall, it looks like Bodycam is taking a major step forward with this update.
