Crispytecture Games is thrilled to let everyone know that Architecture & Design is already available on Steam Early Access. The game came out last month on 21st August and has managed to garner ‘Very Positive’ reviews on the platform. You can take a look at its official gameplay trailer below to get a glimpse of it.
Architecture & Design aims to offer the creative freedom of professional architectural software without the complicated learning curve. Players can create detailed floor plans in 2D while watching their designs take shape in 3D. Walls, roofs, windows, stairs, and other elements automatically adjust as the layout changes.
The game also lets players furnish their creations, customize materials, and explore their finished buildings from a first-person perspective or in VR. Beyond the buildings themselves, players can shape the surrounding landscape by creating hills and ponds, adding grass, trees, rocks, and other environmental details.
Players can build in a variety of locations, including streets, beaches, and floating islands, while switching environments whenever they want. Accurate lighting and sun simulations also allow users to experiment with different lighting concepts.
Architecture & Design supports metric and imperial measurements, as well as OBJ, GLB, and FBX imports and exports. Players can also share their creations through the Workshop and explore designs made by others.
The Early Access release is only the beginning, with more features planned for the future. For now, it looks like a promising option for anyone who enjoys building and designing without the usual pressure.
