Things Are Getting Intense in Yet Another Zombie Survivors
Yet Another Zombie Survivors has officially left Early Access, with Awesome Games Studio delivering a massive 1.0 update that brings what feels like four major updates’ worth of new content to PC and consoles.
After three years in Early Access, more than 600,000 copies sold, over 13,000 Very Positive reviews, and eight major updates shaped by player feedback, the squad-based bullet heaven is now available in its full form. The best part is that the game’s $14.99 base price remains unchanged.
The 1.0 update introduces the Ranger, the ninth Survivor, who comes with two animal companions. Players can also explore the Bio Lab, a new map connected to the origins of the zombie outbreak. In contrast, the new Boss Rush mode challenges them to build their power quickly before taking on the ultimate boss at the 10-minute mark and competing for leaderboard positions.
Another major addition is The Camp, a new hub where players can take on missions, listen to radio transmissions, interact with Survivors, and uncover more details about the story. New quests explore the source of the virus, while character-focused missions reveal more about the Survivors and their relationships.
The update also adds new cross-Survivor synergies, fifth-rank skills, 21 items, 88 achievements, optional Torments, improved performance, faster loading, new music, refreshed sound effects, and several quality-of-life improvements.
Yet Another Zombie Survivors launched on August 20 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch release coming soon. Free demos are also available on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.
After such a long Early Access journey, 1.0 looks like a fitting way to give the game one final massive push.
