The Great Flood has officially launched its first multiplayer Closed Beta Test, giving Meta Quest players an early chance to experience the upcoming mixed reality real-time strategy game ahead of its planned Q4 2026 launch.
Developed by SoulFire Studio Team in collaboration with LingVision Games, The Great Flood blends tabletop-style strategy with mixed reality, allowing players to command armies directly within their physical surroundings. This initial beta focuses on multiplayer, with the developers testing the game’s competitive systems through 1v1 and 2v2 matches to ensure smooth and stable online gameplay.
Beyond the multiplayer battles, beta participants can explore several of the game’s progression and customization systems. Players will be able to unlock new characters, build squads from a roster of 10 different troop types, and experiment with various strategies. The beta also includes mythical monsters that players can upgrade, offering even more tactical options during battles.
The Closed Beta Test also features a tutorial to help newcomers learn the game’s squad-based combat mechanics. Players can earn experience points, level up, unlock rewards, and deploy units in real time by placing troops directly onto the mixed reality battlefield from their arm, creating a unique RTS experience designed specifically for Meta Quest.
The beta is open to all Meta Quest owners, with applications currently available while spaces remain. The test will run for two weeks and is scheduled to conclude on August 18, 2026. During this period, players can share their feedback with the development team to help shape the game’s launch later this year.
