Join the Battle in The Great Flood
SoulFire Studio Team and LingVision Games have officially opened applications for the Closed Beta Test of The Great Flood, giving Meta Quest users an early opportunity to experience the upcoming mixed reality real-time strategy game before its full launch later this year.
The developers are inviting RTS fans to help shape the game by testing its core gameplay systems and sharing feedback throughout the beta. Although all Meta Quest owners can join the Closed Beta, the number of participants will be limited. They will begin the playtest on August 4 and expect it to run for one to two weeks, depending on the feedback they receive during the testing period.
The Great Flood blends classic real-time strategy mechanics with mixed reality, allowing players to battle in 1v1 and 2v2 matches against AI opponents or other players. Before entering combat, players can build their own squad by selecting from a diverse roster of mythological characters, including gods, divine beings, and monstrous creatures. Each squad consists of two heroes and eight soldiers, with every unit bringing unique abilities and battlefield roles that encourage strategic team composition.
According to LingVision Games, the Closed Beta will focus on gathering player feedback to improve everything from unit balance to the game’s mixed reality experience. The studio hopes community input will help fine-tune the gameplay ahead of launch.
