Check Out What’s Cooking in PAYDAY: Aces High
Fast Travel Games has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for PAYDAY: Aces High, an officially licensed VR co-op heist game set in Starbreeze Entertainment’s popular PAYDAY universe. The reveal took place during the VR Games Showcase, where the studio also confirmed that a closed community playtest will run from August 20 to August 24. The limited playtest will give selected players an early chance to experience the game on Meta Quest 3 before its full release later this year.
PAYDAY: Aces High puts players in the middle of a revenge-driven heist after they are framed by business tycoon Warren Jupiter. Players can team up with up to three other criminals, plan their approach, customize their loadouts, and decide whether to stay quiet or turn the entire operation into chaos.
The game features a growing arsenal of assault rifles, SMGs, shotguns, and pistols, alongside gadgets such as grapple tools and sentry guns. Players can also spend their earnings and reputation on new equipment, skills, and upgrades.
There are four playable Aces, each with a different role. The Ace of Hearts serves as the strategic Mastermind, the Ace of Clubs focuses on stealth as the Ghost, the Ace of Diamonds handles technology as the Technician, while the Ace of Spades brings heavy firepower as the Enforcer.
With its mix of teamwork, planning, and VR immersion, PAYDAY: Aces High looks ready to bring the series’ signature heist chaos closer than ever.
