Pale Coins Gets Huge Free Update With Transmog, Rebalanced Gear, and More

More Freedom Awaits for All Pale Coins Players

Pale Coins has received its latest free update, bringing a range of quality-of-life improvements and gameplay enhancements for both new and returning players. Version 1.1.4 is available now and introduces several highly requested features, including a new transmog system, account-wide recipe sharing, a revamped tutorial, and rebalanced item requirements. To celebrate the update, the pixel-art action RPG with Soulslike elements is also available at a 30% discount on Steam until August 10.

One of the biggest additions is the new transmog system, allowing players to customize the appearance of their armor without affecting its stats. Players who enjoy experimenting with different character styles can now do so without sacrificing their preferred builds.

The update also makes learned crafting recipes available across all characters on an account, making it easier to start fresh characters without having to unlock recipes again. New players will benefit from an expanded tutorial that better explains the game’s mechanics, while experienced players can take advantage of reduced requirements for many mid- and endgame items.

Developer Lukas Irzl said lowering the requirements for powerful gear was the most significant change in the update. According to him, many endgame items previously required progressing into New Game+, limiting build experimentation. The new balance changes let players test different weapons and hybrid builds much earlier in their journey.

Other additions include new experimental early-game items, expanded weapon sockets for Magic Ability Stones, improved Frozen status effects, Steam screenshot support through the F12 key, and full compatibility with PS5 DualSense controllers.

Overall, the latest update makes Pale Coins more accessible and encourages players to experiment with new builds, giving both newcomers and veterans even more reasons to jump back into the adventure.
